We are proud to announce we were named Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year at the Housebuilder Awards. The awards were held at InterContinental London-The O2, with more than 500 people enjoying the black-tie event hosted by comedian Tom Allen.

Our success in this category recognises we were the first national housebuilder to set science-based carbon reduction targets and are the highest scoring national housebuilder in the NextGeneration sustainability benchmark – the only benchmark which focuses solely on housebuilders. In the CDP, we scored very highly across all categories and were the only company in the sector to improve scores in all three disclosures. We also ranked 11th in the FTSE100 Responsibility 100 Index by Tortoise.

Climate change is a key business priority and in response we have stretching, sector-leading targets. We have committed to be net zero in our operations by 2040, build zero carbon homes from 2030 and were the first national housebuilder to set science based targets.
