Kickstart - a new shared ownership scheme launched with Legal & General Affordable Homes

To help more people to buy a high quality new home, we've launched a new shared ownership scheme with Legal & General Affordable Homes, called Kickstart.

Kickstart is a great way for people to afford a new home because they can start by buying a share rather than the full market value of the home. This means the deposit is lower, mortgage is smaller and you can increase that share over time.

Eligible buyers can purchase between 10% and 75% of the property, and then pay a subsidised rent on the remaining share.

The scheme is being launched on selected developments in the Midlands and the North, West and East regions of the country, before being rolled out more widely.
