Our chief executive, David Thomas, attended the Prime Minister's first Business Council meeting this week at No.10 Downing Street.
The Council explored how the UK Government can best support growth and innovation across the economy. David and the Council discussed how "full expensing" can help boost business investment in the UK in the context of our investment in a £45million timber frame factory near Derby last year.
The Council also discussed how cuts to National Insurance could raise spending power, strengthening the economy further.
As the country's largest housebuilder we have an important role in helping to drive the economy, with the overall industry contributing £40 billion and supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs, as well as building the homes the country needs.
